1.- Comments, Questions and Answers: “Which are the advantages of learning through Skype?

QUESTION:

I didn’t knew that one can learn flamenco guitar through Skype, before I tried so many things, I took one on one lessons with a local teacher but it didn’t work, I also tried to learn through flamenco DVD methods but I felt those were just one way…  now that I have your personal supervision on Skype every week I realized I can advance much faster, I am really thinking that the Skype lessons may be even better that lessons one on one.

Which are the advantages of learning through Skype?

ANSWER:

I experienced that students on Skype feel very comfortable because: 1) They don’t have to move from their place to take the lesson, so it saves you so much time; 2) All the support material like the PDFs and videos are there available at any time and for as long as they like; 3) It is so flexible that they just feel free on Skype.

It’s true that Skype has advantages over one on one lessons. For example there is no limit of time arrangement nor geographical restrictions, before Skype you need to “go there” where the lesson was taking place and that can be difficult some times. My students come to Malaga to visit as well but not everybody can live in Spain to study, even those from here (Spain) do Skype most of the time.

In Skype the student have exactly the same quality lessons than in one on one lessons, plus it is so easy to use, and considering all the good things that internet brings to music nowadays to expand your horizons you most harness that, this way to learn guitar now it became totally accessible for everyone, so it’s true that from many great tools to lean Skype is THE ONE definitively.

At present I observed that many students have improved a lot from Skype lessons and I am very satisfied with that, actually CFG-studio educational project is mainly online and that is amazing. For example all these students playing here with me on Spanish television are Skype students:

Next month we are going to play again on Spanish TV, this time different students than last year will
play and this is already a super success story for everyone.

Results are the parameter, in fact if one gets real value out of Skype lessons this is the best way to learn for many reasons.

As Skype lessons is a new experience to everyone, I recommend you to experience yourself the outcome of Skype lessons.
